Sometimes Fall.
It’s fine to break down, it’s fine to cry, it’s fine to have that emotional reset you need.
I’ve been introspecting into my emotional well-being for the past year. I have also been privileged to interact and experience how people think and, most importantly, behave. Science has it that we’re advanced animals with better cognitive abilities and whatnot. That’s amazing.
In this era of technology, where we have prodigies, desirable people, and whatnot, falling into an emotional black hole is very easy. The culprit is depression majorly. I have noticed this amongst a few people I have interacted with, and as a result, I am guided by extremely low but real data.
I have been depressed a couple of times, which has helped improve my self-awareness and whatnot; a lot of times, the cause of this shitty state is something silly. I like to take lessons from these depressive episodes whenever they come - for the most part, and I don’t even fight them again.
I have noticed that fighting to keep the emotional well-being at a 100% is an arduous task and instead stresses you the more. I’m not saying one shouldn’t strive to keep their emotional state at its best, but how this is done matters. I’m curious, how do you keep your emotional mind in check?
It’s fine to break down. It’s fine to cry, and it’s fine to have that emotional reset you need. Yes, get it. Pick yourself back when you’ve shed the old skin. How do you want to shine when you have a cloak around you?!
Sometimes fall. Allow yourself to fall once whatever pillar holding you is weak - then pick yourself up. I understand the pressure to keep going on and not stop. The ‘die trying’ mentality is faulted. It’s fine to take a break.
I’ll attack society.
If we’re being sincere, we consume a lot of things from society, the internet, school, etc.
“I am a firm believer of you’re entirely responsible for whatever content you digest into your system. Your beliefs, thoughts, and actions are for the most part directly in your care.”
Now the statement above is interesting. Trust me to agree with that for the most part, but be empathetic towards it. I happen to discuss generally with several people extensively over the past months to get an idea of how they think, their thoughts on different topics, and their experiences in certain branches of life.
An individuals’ childhood plays an integral part in how such a person handles things as they grow. Of course, as a person grows, they can change views and become better or worse. This is strictly decided by society, and this society begins at home. I have come to understand that the views greatly influence my upbringing and thought process, the experiences I have lived, the books I have read, and the discussions I have had. Society shapes us into a soft form - like jelly - so we can be twisted and played with however we deem fit.
There’s also bias. I remember growing up and how people with office jobs are termed far better and civil than those without in my environment. Read artisans. As I grew up, that notion became foolish. I remember a neighbor scolding her child because he said he wanted to be a mechanic. If he said he wanted to be an automobile engineer, she would have praised him highly. I guess the choice of words, but that’s deeply influenced by society if we’re keeping it a buck.
I just finished this fiction book and meh, how do you all enjoy fiction? I understand this is my inability ( maybe unwillingness? ) to imagine fake scenarios these books like to portray.
I’m excited to pick up the next book related to Psychology - Thinking Fast and Slow.
I have read a few pages before and as usual, it aligns with some of the theories I have formulated before. I’m excited to read it and see what I can agree with and disagree with from the book.
If you read up to this point, here’s me saying a big thank you! Do subscribe and share with your friends, I will like to hear your opinions too!.

Fiction is goated. When will you come to this realization?
I fear that there’s nothing like ‘in check.’ Just make sure you’re not running mad because depression will humble you. 😭
